ABOUT
Yashawini Mahila Mandali(R) was established in the year 2004 under the Karnataka society registration, aims to act as a catalyst for bringing about social, economic and legal empowerment of women belonging to the underprivileged sections of society through interventions in the areas like legal rights, economic initiatives, skill building, micro-enterprises, entrepreneurship development and health. We facilitate the formation of Self Help Groups (SHG) for the creation of income-generating economic activities through access to microcredit at preferential rates. To empower women, initially 125 Self Help Groups in Kolar and Malur taluks was formed. Over the years, Yashaswini has established several projects in the areas of , Empowerment, Health, Adult Literacy and Dairy farming These projects are operational in Kolar District

Inauguration of Soil Lab

Soil being the important factor on the earth importance has to be given to keep it fertile and take care of the same. With this intention to help the farmers to know about the fertility of soil and to educate them what crop to grow in which soil a Soil Lab was inaugurated
Self employment training

We have given a self employment training to rural people. By giving a piece work for a trained tailoring people . By this we have created self employment over 50 people in a village of Andrahalli.
Meeting at DC office regarding COVID19 at Kolar

We have attended a meeting at DC office regarding covid19, their was a discussion about food distribution and a vehicle pass to NGO at Kolar. Distribution of mask, all the activities are done only after getting permission from higher authorities.
Distribution of hand bills and giving awareness about covid 19

We went to a ration store and gave information about covid19 and also distributed hand bills, gave importance about social distancing at Kolar.

On a Grama panchayathi level we have given awareness about covid19. Over 40 members of SHG group have gain awareness about covid19. we distributes hand bills , masks and sanitizer to all that participants at Janghatta Kolar.

Literacy Program

We organized literacy program that is Akshara Abhyasa for illiterate people who are living in urban areas at Kolar. As so far we reached 2150 beneficiaries.
