Jagruthi Vedhike Meetings - 2

In Melya village, J.V. members complained to the factory owner about air pollution. Now the factory management has taken initiative to conduct the regular Health check-up camps in Melya and other villages of Melya panchayath.
In Gangasandra village, by the intervention/complaint given by the J.V., the selling of alcohol illegally in petti shops and in the houses was stopped.
In Mudulodu G.P., New Anganwadi building was sanctioned in Maniwala village,,the subject was discussed and resolved in the J.V meeting and given representation to the G.P.. Also new road was built in Maniwala village.
In Somanahalli there is not drinking water facility in Govt Higher primary school, but in the J.V. meeting Rajani promised to get this sanctioned. Now she personally took initiative and got the drinking water facilty.
In Ganganahalli, Somenahalli, G.P. J.V. members complained to the THO that Asha workers were not performing their duty in the village. The issue was resolved.
Awareness on child line

Jagrithi Vedhike (J.V.) activities - Active Intervention by ASEDA

1. In the Somenahalli Anganwadi center, there was a misutilization of food by the Anganwadi worker. On intervention by ASEDA J.V. members, it has been stopped.
2. The construction of the new Anganwadi building was completed in Dapparthi village. Classes are being conducted now in the new building.
3. By the intervention of J.V. members, 5 beneficiaries got the sanction for ration cards.
4. In Beechaganahalli village, there was no good road. By the representations given by the J.V., now a C.C. road has been constructed.
5. In Gowribidanur taluk, Madhugiri G.P., the J.V. members offered counseling to the parents of the girl who ran away from home. They successfully got an FIR lodged.
6. In Mudugere village, the J.V. members complained on behalf of women against the domestic violence by their husband and children.
ASEDA's Block level meetings of Elected Women Representatives (EWRs)

ASEDA convenes EWRs meetings with Taluka officials to build rapport. During these programmes, the EWRs became aware of different programmes launched by the departments like Social Welfare, Animal husbandry and Executive office. They placed issues in their respective villages.

Federation block meeting of ASEDA resolved to conduct Jamabhandhi. Memorandum was submitted to E.O. In Gowribidanur taluk after submitting the memorandum, Jamabhandhi was conducted in 13 Grama Panchayats - Gangasandra, Namagodlu, D.Palya, Mudalodu, Mudugere, Kurudi, Kodagadala, Puravara, Byalya, Kadagathuru, Somenahalli, Hampasandra and Dapparthi.
