About Us
Asha O Ashwasana
Our NGO provides quality education to young slum children weaning them away from petty crimes and alcohol consumption and instilling good morals in them.
D. Prakash Rao, the founder of Asha O Ashwasana school, started this institution after seeing young children in local slums being deprived of education, and indulging in alcohol consumption and petty crimes. He arranged for quality and value-based education to children from first to third grade as these are the formative years. Currently, there are 80 students studying here.
He was awarded the Annie Besant Award in 2015, Human Rights Award in 2016 and the Padma Shri in 2019.

Deprivation Of Education: a study of Slum Children in Odisha
We mainly focus on better education and a better life for slum children. Currently, we are educating 80 children and in the future, we hope to educate many more.

Educating 80 Young Deprived Slum children in Odisha
He started the school after seeing young children in local slums deprived of education and indulging in alcohol consumption and petty crimes. He arranged for children from first to third grade to be taught here. Currently, there are 80 students studying here. He spent half of his income from the tea shop on running the school.Our Impact
