Hyderabad Karnataka Rural development Society places special focus on working alongside women, children, and rural development. Equipped with the proper resources, women and children have the power to lift whole families and entire communities out of poverty. We working to fight poverty and social injustice in Karnataka, with a specific focus on the empowerment of women. We work side-by-side with communities to understand the root causes of poverty and find innovative, locally-led solutions.

"Threads of Life” a tailoring program empowers women who are from very poor backgrounds and work either as domestic maids or as homemakers. Some are emotionally disturbed because of domestic violence and want a way out in their economic and social life while others are gripped with generational poverty and seeking a sustainable livelihood to break away from the spell of this poverty. This program has scaled their outlook to better social living and economic empowerment.
