About Us

Neravu Society

Neravu contributes to the social and economic upliftment of vulnerable communities.

Neravu Society is a registered NGO that focuses on the overall development of women, farmers, distressed and downtrodden people and their social and economic development. Neravu Society operates in 40+ villages in and around Hubli and Belgaum. It has helped and created more than 300 SHGs till date. Its work for the empowerment of women in rural areas has touched over 4500 families.

Independence Day Celebrations

Independence day was celebrated on 15th August 2020 .This was celebrated was on the occasion of national festival in order to show the patriotism and to cultivate the respect and service towards the nation.This program saw a great success in celebration and was the pride of the organization.

COVID-19

During the pandemic the most affected people were the vegetable vendors and many other market vending people along with the homeless people.As a part of an initiative towards this Neravu distributed the essential set of masks o the needy ones and the market vendors.

Jalamrutha Program

Jalamrutha Program, a work that was done for the welfare of the village people .This work was initiated to improve the water level conditions of the village and to prevent it from scarcity.With this being initiated not just the villagers even farmers were benefitted.

Awareness program to farmers

Awareness program was conducted to the farmers in and around the village to create a global awareness to the farmers regarding the agricultural and farming techniques that brought them the best yield.

Youth empowerment

Programs were conducted on youth empowerment to bring in awareness among the rural youth.Te rural youth were given awareness regarding their strengths and capability which could give them a better and bright future.

Self help groups

Self help groups were formed among the women of the rural sides. This was marked as an betterment towards the women empowerment.These groups were formed to help the needy ones among them and to solve their problems by themselves which in turn built confidence in them.

Awareness Program on Adolescent Health

Ms.Sara Gokavi had an interactive session for high school students on adolescent health concentrating on the changes during adolescence including menstruation and management, the importance of a balanced diet was also highlighted in the program.
