About Us
Peoples Action Service Society
Since there was poverty and ignorance in the rural parts of Tamil Nadu, the NGO was started to empower women and educate children.
The NGO was founded in 2010, in Sangiliyandapuram, Pettavaithalai Post, Thiruchirappalli District. Since its inception, the NGO is active in following programs like formation of Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Micro Credit Services, Vocational Skill Training based on local resources Capacity Development of Women, Adolescents, and Youth Leaders, Biodiversity Conservation and Environmental Protection, Micro Entrepreneurs and Enterprises Development, Awareness on Water and Health and Sanitation Services, Nature Conservation and Animal Welfare, SHG Income generation activities, Traditional Cotton wavers training. So far there are 1500 Beneficiaries.

Through education, health, water, sanitation, and sustainable economic development, we envision each human having access to equitable opportunity.

To improve the lives of communities around the state through equity in terms of class, caste, and gender, and improved health assured safe water, sanitation, and sustainable development.
Our Programs
Skill Development Program
Women have been given tailoring skills training. After which the women start on their own or get jobs in good garment industries. So far 700 women who have got this training are now economically independent.
Distribution of Books
Every year the NGO distributes books to children for those who cannot afford to buy books.

Free Tuition Classes for Children
We have taken free tuition classes for poor children at Sangiliyandapuram Village.10-Feb-2023
Empowering farmers to grow and sustain
We organize an awareness program for village people in Sangiliyandapuram. It advocates innovative and sustainable irrigation methods to support agricultural development for tribal people and small village farmers. The low-cost technical solutions provided by our NGO help the farmers improve irrigation methods and practice mixed cropping.04-Jan-2023
Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program
We distributed hygiene kits to 30 students of the school. This program was held to create awareness of basic and menstrual hygiene along with personal safety. The NGO aims to ensure the safety and well-being of children and women. They understand the significance of personal hygiene for girls, especially those from low-income backgrounds. Sanitary napkins are a necessity for every menstruating girl, but for many of them from weaker sections of society, it is a luxury. Due to a lack of resources and awareness, they resort to unhygienic methods to deal with periods, which leads to infections. Our NGO Secretary explained to the adolescent girls the significance of maintaining personal hygiene, including basic practices such as brushing teeth and washing hands along with good menstrual hygiene practices, having nutritious food, and personal safety.09-Dec-2022
Vitamin Tablet Distribution
We organized Vitamin Tablet Distribution Orientation Program at Thiruchirappalli. We explained each tablet's importance and uses to people. More than 28 people participated in the program.10-Nov-2022

Energy Conservation Program was held for rural people at the NGO premises.
