Spandana Educational Society
Spandana Educational Society is a nonprofit organization established in 1994. Our area of operation is in Kovur, Indukurpet, T.P. Gudur, Muthukur, Allur, and Buchireddypalem Mandals of SPSR Nellore District in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
OBJECTIVES
- To work for the social development of underprivileged individuals, groups and communities in Nellore(D)

- To assist in the process of social integration and personal realization of underprivileged children, young people, women, and families

Our Programs
Medical camps
It was observed a very much need in the urban slum areas are helpless to keep in good health and so we arranged medical camps to conduct tests on their health with the medical specialists from various hospitals and provided medicines prescribed by them, free of cost to those tested people and helped them to lead a good and healthy life.
Residential bridge course camp
We focused on children who are working as domestic child labour, engaged to work in household industries in the informal sector, rag pickers, construction laborers, street children and so on. These children constitute the hidden and invisible children of the urban Nellore(D). The program has shown that children can be motivated to go to schools even in an urban setting living under very difficult circumstances.

Vocational training
The adolescent girls between the age groups of 15 to 25 were not allowed to study further after their school final. Though they are educated and have the intention to pursue higher studies, their parents did not allow them to move forward.
So, we motivated them to learn some income-generation activities through tailoring work and provided training to about 15 women. After completion of the course, they were helped to take tailoring work in their houses and other tailoring shops to earn something for their families. The parents felt happy with our support.

Distribution of masks and sanitizers
When the dreadful diseases affected their lives even before they got to know about them and among them, COVID-19 brought heavy loss to their families. We took up the distribution of masks and sanitizers with the support of some generous people in the rural areas.
