To empower the rural mass especially the disadvantaged, the weaker and the downtrodden we have established this organization and have legally registered under the Public charitable Trust Act.

The weaker section of the society, unemployed youth, unlettered persons, Women in depressed circumstances, adolescents   groups are our focused target group.  We reach them through various multi dimensional activities. The activities carried out have been plenty but we have sketched a few of the important events in the report. Our service gives us immense pleasure to bring out the annual report for the year of 2018-19. <o:p></o:p>

International Women’s day campaign

As special focus is given to the women in the village every year women's day has been celebrated in a very grant manner. We found that the suppressed status for the women, less nutrition, less access to education, inequality, rape, female infanticide and crude abortion practices are the prime factors in this area and we provided such preventive awareness on relevant subject. We motivated them on the micro credit management and self employment activities. At present 620 women are engaged in the SHGs and actively involved in empowerment activities.<o:p></o:p>

HIV /AIDS Awareness

We have implemented the HIV/AIDS Awareness and Orientation programs among the students from 15 schools in Acharapakkam Block Kancheepuram district. Apart from the above activities we have observed the World AIDS Day 2018 through the following activities in the Acharapakkam Block. We have observed the AIDS day campaign through the following activities. <o:p></o:p>Quiz competition, Public Exhibition, TOT Training and IEC distribution in Acharapakkam Block. One week Public Exhibition was conducted in the main Bus stop.. AIDS awareness street play ( 5 Nos) were conducted for the general public. More than 500 people were get an awareness on HIV/AIDS.<o:p></o:p>

Health Awareness to Women

The prime focus is on women and adolescent girls.  The following all the vital components of our health activities. Based on the strategies we have organized the orientation program for 12 schools, 25 SHG’s members and among the Anganwadi children. Through these orientation activities nearly 2500 persons were benefited on health aspects.

Rural Star Trust -established in the year of 2003 and have been implementing various development activities in Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram districts of Tamil Nadu.
