About Us

Tamilnadu Ngos Protect And Welfare Committee

The objectives of the Ngo is to protect and promote the rights of the marginalized children, women, adivasis and to preserve natural resource and common property resources.

  • Our organization is committed and strives to form the Network at the state level in Tamil Nadu and it has a vision and mission to reduce Global warming and Climate Change as a core action, with the active support of likeminded 3,000 NGOs who are present in 37 Districts and Union Territory of Pondicherry; covering around  385 Blocks  and 5,000 villages .
  • The District Level Secretaries and Block level organizers of the Network are the key persons to conduct Awareness Programme activities among the general public on all core activities with above focus.

Our Programs

Environmental Initiatives

Addressing the Global Warming and Climate Change issues urgently – with a focus on first creating awareness among common people on the gradual increase in the overall temperature of Earth's atmosphere due to the greenhouse effect., recreating resources to reduce carbon footprints, Providing knowledge, Creating Attitude and Encourage Practices, offer Guidelines, support Technical advice through identification of resource agencies, donors, funding agencies in domestic and international level.

Children Collectives Formations

Formation of children collectives in all villages wherever members are operating and work for creating access to education, social education, and supplementary education and encourage common school system with government school’s activation.

CSO Workers Welfare Committtee

CSO Workers Welfare work for enhancing the participation of CSOs in the Governmental Committees to promote collaboration and linkages and convergence with social security schemes and work for bringing social security schemes of workers of CSOs -Decent Wages, Provident Fund and Pensions.

Financial Sustainability Programmes

Organize workshops to promote people friendly programs and governmental collaboration with CSR support.

Students Education Programme

National Economical Educational Social Awareness Programme

The NGO organized a National Economical Educational Social Awareness Programme, aiming to raise awareness and promote education, social welfare, and economic empowerment at the national level. Polio Immunization Campaign

We held Polio Immunization Campaign twice a year, with the setting out to give two drops of oral polio vaccine (OPV) to every child in Tamil Nadu under the age of five. So far we have reached 500 children.

Saplings Awareness and Plantation

SAP was done by youth and student communities in open spaces of villages, on the banks of the waterways channel, Tanks, and Ponds which efforts and initiatives aptly supported by Women SHG members, Small and Marginal Farmers, and Farmers Collectives with conducting drives and local camps.

Awareness campaigns

Work for natural and organic linkages of rural water bodies, channel linkage, Check Dams, Ponds deepening and check pollution of the water bodies through Save Water Committees.

Strengthening Self Help Groups and Facilitating Small Businesses and Livelihood programs

Programs for women in rural areas have been conducted to improve their standard of living. Several groups like women farmers groups, garment units, livestock raring, food and nutrition supply, vegetable markets, fish vending markets, etc are been formed.
