Vallal Trust is a non-profit organisation established in the year 1995. The organisation has been working for 157 villages in Lalgudi block, 96 villages in Pullambadi block in Trichy District in the state of Tamil Nadu in India.

Objectives of the organization include: - To undertake socio-economic development of the people like community development, rural reconstruction, public health & hygiene, welfare of women and children, promotion of cottage industries, self employment etc. - To start and establish all type of educational institutions on medical, technical and academic stream. - To provide relevant education, technical or otherwise to all the people in India. - To construct and run hospital and clinics and other health institutions. - To undertake emergency relief on all natural calamities and disaster. - To help the orphans by establishing orphanages and provide them with food, shelter and clothes. - To eradicate literacy and poverty. - To form Self Help Groups (SHGs) and link the credit facilities with bank. |

• Promote the basic and other health schemes for the people in the community. • Provide information and opportunity to the poor and marginalized people. • Promote sustainaible livelihood to all the people. • Create access to the people of all resources. • Create awareness among the community about pollution free environment and create access to good health, environment and education.
Our Programs
Block level water quality testing laboratory
Since 2000, VALLAL TRUST has been working to create awareness on water & sanitation in the project area. Project areas include 22 villages in Lalgudi block, 19 villages in Pullambadi block- in Tiruchirappalli district, 34 panchayats in Papanasam block, 46 panchayats in Ammapettai block- in Thanjavur District, Tamilnadu, India.
The organisation continues to work on behalf of Tamil Nadu Water Supply and
Drainage Board, sealed tenders in the prescribed departmental format for outsourcing for maintainence of Block Level Water Quality Testing Laboratory (BLWQT) at
Singampunari in Sivangai district lab.
Women empowerment
Tailoring training has been an effective skill that helps women provide for not only themselves but also for their families. To empower women by helping them find livelihood, better educate their children and improve their sense of well being is our objective.

Awareness program
Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The organisation has taken this initiative of awareness program to prevent community spread of Corona virus in 10 village which are highly populated with coolie labourers who have lost their employment for the last 52 days due to nationwide curfew. The state has called for voluntary actions by following social distancing protocols and we will make sure that the rural community has enough resources to abide by them. We distributed safety kits and basic grocery items. The goal of the relief programme is to prevent the virus spread reaching the third stage by providing basic needs of the community members for self – protection and food.
