Ambiha Charitable Trust is a nonprofit organization established in 1993 at Tenkasi (D), Tamilnadu. Our NGO works in the area of Agriculture, Education, Health, and Disaster Management. Our area of operation is in Kuruvikulam block, Tenkasi (D), and Kovilpatti block, Thoothukudi (D), Tamilnadu.

Our Programs
Disaster Management Program
We organized Disaster Management, Risk Reduction, Emergency Preparedness, and Response programs at the school, Tenkasi. The aim of the program is to ensure the children we work with, are aware and appropriately educated on the potential risks (natural and human) that may impact their lives; in order that they can be pre-prepared and respond appropriately. 200 children attended this program.

Entrepreneur Development Awareness Program
On the 11th and 12th of February, we participated in two days Entrepreneur Development Awareness program for aspirant NGOs at Naturopathy and Yoga Clinic, Pavoorchthram, Tenkasi. This program is organized by the Indian Naturopathy and Yoga Graduates Medical Association (INYGMA), and Social Rights Organisation (TSRO).25-Jan-2023
State Level Seminar

Livelihood Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities
On 13 January 2023, we conducted a survey on livelihood opportunities for disabled persons in and around Thiruvengadam villages.05-Oct-2022
Medicinal plants awareness program
We actively engaged with medicinal plant activities for a period of time. We have created awareness among the rural population of the greater Tenkasi area through the awareness program, plantation program, and selling herbal products at the mass of the area. Totally 45 men and 74 women participated in the program.

Covid-19 support
We conducted mask distribution to the panchayat healthcare workers and also organized an awareness campaign about COVID-19.
Masks are a key measure to reduce transmission and save lives.
Wearing well-fitted masks should be used as part of a comprehensive ‘Do it all!’ approach including maintaining physical distancing, avoiding crowded, closed, and close-contact settings, ensuring good ventilation of indoor spaces, cleaning hands regularly, and covering sneezes.
