Society For Community Organization And Rural Education (SCORE)

Society For Community Organization And Rural Education (SCORE) is a nonprofit organization established in the year 1995 for the benefit of mankind, especially for the economically and socially backward rural and tribal people. Over the past 25 years, we have worked to identify and meet the needs and aspirations of the rural and tribal poor through participatory approaches for development in 120 villages of Thogaimalai, Kadavur blocks in Karur (D), and Kollihills tribal block in Namakkal (D), Tamilnadu, South India.

Health Program

Our health staff continues to focus on mother and child health care providing support to antenatal mothers, monitoring immunization, screening TB patients, and health awareness programs.

0 SCORE has formed 250 SHGs among the Rural, Tribal, Dalit, and Disadvantaged communities
0 Reproductive health and rights were conducted to 6500 school students in Thogaimalai & Kadavur block
0 Environment education program was conducted to 3500 village people
0 Provided educational materials to the 700 poor school children.
0 Naturopathy health awareness is given to the 1570 rural general public.
0 Fire safety and rescue awareness is given to 15000 rural people
0 SCORE has organized social and legal awareness for 1900 women and adolescent girls
0 400 Dalits children are studying in free intensive coaching classes
0 We have given vocational training to 755 educated girls and women.
0 Identified and gave counseling services to the 140 PLWHAs.
0 210 rural poor women were trained on vermin compost, and mushroom cultivation training
0 155 rural poor farming women were trained in organic farming and biodiversity conservation.
0 400 rural people were knowledgeable about waterborne diseases and water management.
0 20000 young age groups were aware of STI/HIV/AIDS
0 212 rural farming women promoted on bio farming agriculture and kitchen garden.
