About Us
Sustainable Development Trust
Sustainable Development Trust is a Not-For-Profit organization established in 2015. We are passionate about bettering the lives of the urban poor. To this end, we focus on empowering economically vulnerable women to become self-reliant and start earning so that they can bring a positive impact on their family’s development. The second part of our work is with children to ensure that they get a basic education. This will give them the foundation to participate in the formal employment sector and improve their livelihood opportunities and life skills. We provide free tuition to poor children coming from underprivileged(under the poverty line) families from Tamil Nadu.

Our Programs
Tree Plantation Program
We organize tree plantation activities and inculcate a sense of responsibility among young students across Tamil Nadu. And provided free saplings in schools and let the students plant and take care of those saplings.
Women Empowerment
The empowerment and autonomy of women and the enhancement of their social, health, political, and economic conditions is an extremely vital end in itself. It is the framework for the achievement of sustainable development. The power equations that obstruct women’s realization of healthy and fulfilling lives function across different levels of society, from very personal to the highly public. We committed to women’s empowerment through the following measures: *Establishing mechanisms that promote women’s participation in community and social activities *Facilitating the fulfillment of women’s potential through education, skill development, and employment *Discouraging discriminatory practices against women

Skill Development Training
On December 31, 2023, a Skill Development Training program was conducted for women, focusing on enhancing their professional capabilities. This initiative likely included workshops, practical sessions, and expert guidance to empower women with valuable skills for employment or entrepreneurship. By providing training on the last day of the year, it signifies a commitment to ending the year on a positive note by investing in the growth and development of women in the community, contributing to their economic independence and overall well-being.05-Jan-2024
Distribution of Education Materials to Schools
The NGO organized the distribution of educational materials to schools, providing essential resources to students free of charge. This initiative, likely including textbooks, stationery, and other learning materials, aimed to support access to quality education, particularly for economically disadvantaged students. By ensuring that schools receive necessary educational supplies, the NGO contributes to fostering a conducive learning environment and promoting educational equity within the community. Covid-19 Awareness Program
We organized COVID-19 Awareness Program at Trichy(D). And explained precautions for COVID which are distancing, the use of masks, and maintaining cleanliness to prevent the spread of the disease. The slogan ‘Stay home and stay safe’ was given to all participants.Our Impact
It is the small change that makes the biggest impact.
